Customer
The end-customer of the shop. Buys, services, rents, trades. Has bikes on record.
Customer bike
A bike belonging to a customer, tracked across service tickets.
Service ticket
A work order for one bike. Lifecycle from drop-off → ready → picked up.
Transaction
A single sale, refund, or service-ticket cashout. Holds line items, payments, taxes.
SKU and variant
A product the shop sells. SKU is the master record; variants are sized/colored versions tracked for inventory.
Staff
A person who signs in to Helm. Has a role, an optional per-staff permission override set, and a PIN.
Permission
The screen-visibility and action-authorization model. Role defaults + per-staff overrides.
